During April 24, 2021 - April 25 2021, the 19th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government was held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Focusing on "Innovation, Development, Cooperation and Win-Win", the 20-year-old Conference is a high-standard exposition and trade fair for international cooperation on scientific and technological innovation and international talent exchange, as well as an important platform and well-known brand gathering global innovation resources.
As one of the important parts of this Conference, the Special Area for Transfer and Innovative Cooperation, led by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center and organized by the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), was presented at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center at the same time. A total of 96 international and Chinese technology transfer institutions set up booths in the Area presenting more than 160 cutting-edge industrial technologies and over 10 exhibits. Wang Zhigang, Minister of Science and Technology, Wang Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Committee, along with other guests, visited the Area, accompanied by Wu Cheng, Deputy Director of China Science and Technology Exchange Center, Yan Xiaohong, Chief of Network Platform Division, and Zhang Zhang, Secretary-General of ITTN.
The Area consisted of "'Belt and Road' Scientific and Cultural Exchanges", "International Innovation Resource Cooperation", "International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperation", and "International Industrial Innovation Technology", showcasing channels, projects and achievements of international technology transfer and innovation cooperation.
"Belt and Road" Scientific and Cultural Exchanges
This part highlighted the key achievements in implementing the "Belt and Road" Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Action Plan, promoting science and technology exchanges between China and other developing countries, cooperating in training science and technology talents, consolidating long-term cooperation between research institutions, universities and enterprises, building platforms for science and technology exchanges, and promoting international practical cooperation in science and technology since the launch of Talented Young Scientist Program.
"International Innovation Resource Cooperation"
This part was divided into "International Technology Transfer Cooperation Institutions", "International Innovation Cooperation Platforms" and "International Technology Transfer Service Channels", focusing on Chinese and overseas institutions, platforms and channels experienced in technology transfer and innovation cooperation.
Institutions participating in the exhibitions include Foshan China Academy of Invention Achievement Transformation, Shenzhen Institute of Beidou Industrial Internet, Suzhou Industrial Park Association, Sino Israel Technology Innovations (Shanghai Center), "Brain Bay · Jiangning" International Talent Community, Changzhi High-tech Industrial Development Area, Dalian Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Service Center, BRICS Technology Transfer Center, Nanning Planning Association, Hainan Tropical Agricultural Technology Transfer Center, Palette Skills, Shenzhen Hengcheng Science and Technology Innovation Service, West China Medicine Technology Transfer Center, Shenzhen Nanshan Smart Park Operation Service, Hunan 208 Advanced Technology, Sinofaith IP Group, and Zhong Bu Zhi Guang Technology Transfer. The projects exhibited involve new materials, robotics, intelligent energy, new IoT, medical magnetic resonance, chips and many other fields.
It also showcased 66 international technology transfer organizations from 25 countries and training programs such as Innovation and Technology Commercialization Professional among others.
"International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperation"
This part exhibited an overview of bilateral and multilateral international innovation and entrepreneurship projects under the guidance of China-Israel, China-Sweden, China-Germany, China-Italy, China-Britain, China-Finland, SCO and other organizations, as well as key overseas cooperation institutions, outstanding projects of the innovation competition, and cooperation demands.
"International Industrial Innovation Technology"
This past focused on the four major areas of "AI and Intelligent Manufacturing", "Biotechnology and Mass Health", "Energy Conservation and Green Innovation" and "New Generation of IT and Intelligent Transportation", highlighting the project situation and cooperation demands of the "100 Best Industrial Innovations for International Technology Transfer" released on 2020 Zhongguancun Forum.
