On April 24, the first Science and Technology Popularization & Exhibition Hall (Pavilion 6) was opened to the public.
Themed on the "Innovation Driving Development, Science and Technology Popularization Leading Future", the Pavilion is set up, with an exhibition area of 7,500m2, attracting exhibitors from Jiangsu, Sichuan, Henan and Shenzhen and related enterprises and institutions, including more than 20 well-known enterprises such as China General Nuclear Power Corporation, Shenzhen Mawan Power, Beijing Genomics Institute, Skyworth, UBTECH, and Kuangchi Group.
Science and technology innovation and science popularization are the two wings to achieve innovative development, and this Pavilion is a practice in an effort to make the blueprint of innovation-driven development a reality. Exhibits include self-developed Hualong One, Huo-Yan Laboratory to the needs of the COVID-19 prevention and control, products related to IT, science and technology education, science fiction, and science popularization, as well as the high-profile educational robots echoing the purpose of the Pavilion.
According to the staff, the Pavilion aims to highlight the value of science popularization in the new era, promote the high-quality development of science popularization and industry, and establish a large science popularization platform featuring private sector's participation, IT support, market-based operation and international exchange; secondly, the Pavilion is set up to explore high-quality science popularization resources and enhance the effective supply of public service products.
It is learnt that, in addition to the latest products and technologies of science popularization showcased, the 3rd China Science Popularization Innovation and Development Summit Forum and the 1st China (Shenzhen) Youth Science & Technology Innovation Education Forum were held, intending to pool the resources of the government, enterprises, the community and schools to boost the high-quality development of China's youth science education and industry.
